Strange question

Ok strange question why is it considered bullying when you put a boundary on someone? Is it because I said no to a situation that I was uncomfortable with, especially if something didn’t feel right about the person or the situation, and I did not want to get involved in ? Why do people go crazy nasty and mean when you put boundaries on them and when you say no.
